TPIM is looking for a creative, dynamic, reliable, and meticulously organized Associate Planner to help coordinate one-of-a-kind weddings in NYC and beyond. This is a part-time, independent contracting position.

This position encompasses all aspects of planning a wedding, from start to finish. The Associate Planner will work alongside and report to the owner and founder of TPIM, Lara Mahler.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Communication with current and prospective clients throughout the wedding planning process

  • Research of event vendors, including (but not limited to) venues, caterers, rental companies, florists, photographers/videographers, and musicians.

  • Setting up and breaking down the event on the day-of. This may include heavy lifting of furniture and other decor items. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Reviewing contracts, C.O.Is, and other legal documents provided by vendors

  • Being in constant communication with vendors and clients via email, phone, and in-person meetings

  • Creating and sticking to strict budgets and timelines

  • Researching new trends and services in the wedding industry

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Budget management

  • Creativity

  • Proficiency in Google Drive/Microsoft Office

  • Experience in sales not required, but definitely a plus!


 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2 years of experience in the events, hospitality, project management, or other relevant industry

  • Proficiency in Google Drive/Microsoft Office

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Flexible schedule, with availability on weekends.
