TPIM is looking for a creative, dynamic, reliable, experienced, and meticulously organized Associate Planner to help coordinate one-of-a-kind weddings in NYC. Our ideal candidate demonstrates enthusiasm about our fast-growing company, and will be able to represent the stress-free TPIM vibe at weddings, events, meetings, and beyond.

This position encompasses all aspects of planning a wedding, from start to finish. The Associate Planner will work alongside and report to the owner and founder of TPIM, Lara Mahler.

This is a part-time, independent contracting position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Communication with current and prospective clients throughout the wedding planning process
  • Research of event vendors, including (but not limited to) venues, caterers, rental companies, florists, photographers/videographers, and musicians.
  • Setting up and breaking down the event on the day-of. This may include heavy lifting of furniture and other decor items. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Reviewing contracts, C.O.Is, and other legal documents provided by vendors
  • Being in constant communication with vendors and clients via email, phone, and in-person meetings
  • Creating and sticking to strict budgets and timelines
  • Researching new trends and services in the wedding industry

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in planning events- Previous work in the wedding industry specifically will place you leaps and bounds above other applicants.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills- are you quick on your feet?
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Budget management
  • An eye for creativity (with the ability to stick to a certain aesthetic)
  • Proficiency in Google Drive/Microsoft Office
  • Experience in customer service not required, but definitely a plus


  • Completed Bachelor's Degree- this position is not open to current students.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the events industry (preferably in weddings)
  • Proficiency in Google Drive/Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Flexible schedule, with availability on weekends.
